you can be a gay man and still be attracted to someone who identifies as a woman

having exceptions doesn’t mean that your identity is less valid, or that you’re not really who you identify yourself to be, you don’t have to identify as bisexual or pansexual if you don’t feel like that’s really you

and to add, if you’re trans and you’re dating someone who identifies as being attracted to the gender you were assigned at birth and not the gender you identify as, it doesn’t make your gender identity less valid

don’t stay with someone who doesn’t respect your gender identity in any way – don’t date someone who wants you to identify more like a gender you aren’t – but don’t assume that just because they’re attracted to you means that they aren’t attracted to you as the gender you are
